What do you do at Misumi?
I have been with MISUMI Thailand for 18 years and currently serve as New Development Division Director under the Business Unit. Our team builds strong relationships with new customer segments, including Chinese clients, food industry companies, and large corporations with unique needs.
What does Misumi mean to you?
My educational background did not quite match the qualification of the first position I joined at Misumi, but the company was open enough to give someone like me an opportunity to learn new things. For me, since that day Misumi is like a school to me. During the first year, I get to learn new things every single day.
What makes you feel excited when you come to work?
Misumi is a very dynamic company. Since I’ve started work here, I was able to take on various functions within the company, so when I changed my position, it’s like I have entered a new territory, which really keeps me on my feet.

What do you do at Misumi?
I’ve been working as a Sales Manager at Misumi Thailand for more than 10 years. Misumi is a highly stable and adaptive company.
What challenges you at Misumi?
When I first joined Misumi, all the business plans and strategies had to be changed annually to support customers. I believe that besides selling the standard components, we put a lot of effort to try to support customers until they are satisfied with Misumi’s service.
What would you like to say to someone who would like to join Misumi?

What do you do at Misumi?
My work is to support front-end functions within the company such as assisting the sales team to make everything smooth, researching the customers’ needs, resolving any errors on our system, and planning how to cut down costs to provide a competitive price to our customers.
How did you hear about Misumi?
When I used to live in Japan, I knew Misumi as a customer. Misumi provides many products from several brands. Also, I find it very easy to choose and order the most suitable product. When I was a part of the team that manages the back-end functions within the company, we had to prepare everything which includes large amounts of data and fulfilling the necessary conditions to be able to fully support our customer. It’s very challenging for me because we get to take on new challenges every day, which enables me to improve myself.
What would you like to say to someone who would like to join Misumi?

What is your role in the company?
I’m in charge of Misumi VN’s General Affairs Department. As a General Affairs executive, my role in the company is the general management of all issues related to the office such as arranging vehicles, booking airline tickets, and maintaining the equipment in the office.
Why did you decide to work at Misumi?
I think the relationship between the young staff and the leader is quite open. Other than good opportunities, the management is also very interested in the employees’ well-being. That’s why I chose to work at Misumi.
In the future, what do you want to do in Misumi?
I want to continue working at Misumi, so I can learn much more. For example, I am currently taking care of the administrative agenda as a General Affairs executive, but in the future, I also want to learn more about Human Resources. As Misumi is very open to changes, the possibility to develop is very high if you are very dedicated, so I want to work and study to grow for Misumi Vietnam.
What inspires you at Misumi?
Our CEO said, “You can make mistakes, but it’s important that you learn from those mistakes to improve yourself.” I always motivate myself with this piece of wisdom while working. Sometimes I make mistakes. If it’s in another company, I will get no feedback from the management, so it is easy to get demoralized. However, at Misumi, I feel like I can learn from my mistakes, so when I make mistakes, instead of feeling down and do nothing, I learn and try to grow more.

What is your duty at Misumi?
Developing the maintenance of Misumi’s system, working with suppliers, and providing product strategies.
Why did you decide to work in Misumi?
There are two main reasons that makes we want to stay at Misumi. First, to work in a company that has a commercial environment in Bac Ninh is very difficult, but Misumi can make it happen. Second, Misumi Vietnam was established recently in 2016, so getting a chance to work here made me one of the pioneers of this company.
What are the benefits that you gain from Misumi?
The biggest benefit of working at Misumi is being able to work alongside Japanese and Korean coworkers and provide services to thousands of customers in a commercial environment.
If you must give an advice to the candidates who will join Misumi in the future, what would you like to tell them?
Misumi has a relatively typical working environment in Bac Ninh. Being a new company of a global stature, there will be many challenges as well as opportunities waiting for the new candidates.

Why did you choose Misumi?
Misumi is a big multinational company, not only as supplier of general/engineering goods, but Misumi has a manufacturing site as well. This makes me want to learn more about Misumi’s business model for the B2B market. By seeing the Korean Director, Mr. Jaejun In, I’m convinced that this company is a multi-talented and multi-cultural company, so I hope I can learn and grow more for this multinational company.
What experiences made you grow? What was most impressive about Misumi’s business?
I think Misumi is the first company that implemented e-commerce for its B2B business in Indonesia. Working here makes me feel more confident as a sales and engineer consultant because I can offer many varieties of Misumi’s products to the customers. I can learn new products day after day, so I am gaining more expertise than before.

The candidate should be committed to keep on learning, performing, and taking on challenges. He or she should be able to manage all the necessary activities to ensure customer satisfaction and have the capabilities to build a good relationship both internally and externally.

Why did you choose Misumi?
Misumi is the first company that I work for in Indonesia. I joined Misumi because of its global status and because it was one of the leading companies in its field. The platform that the company uses, which uses an online platform for engineering parts, is very attractive for me, initially. It is the only company here in Indonesia that has a broad range of products and brands.
What experiences made you grow? What was your most memorable experience in Misumi?
When I joined Misumi Indonesia, I was the only member in the department. I did not know much about the products, but after 3 years, we grew to 14 staffs and 4 subdivisions under the Business Development Department. To start a new department and to see how it grows was a very memorable experience.
