Product Description
【Product Overview】
O-rings are sealing components that utilize the elastic interference of rubber materials.
The O-ring P series is manufactured according to the JIS B 2401 P series standard.
There are two usage types: stationary and dynamic.
After stationary installation, the O-ring remains fixed, usually in a flat mounting configuration.
After dynamic installation, the O-ring undergoes relative movement, mainly in the form of cylindrical mounting.
【Product Feature】
1. Simple structure and easy installation.
2. Wide variety of materials and sizes.

Usage Method

Note:
1. For the flat fixed type, please design it so that when withstanding internal pressure, the outer circumference of the O-ring is in close contact with the outer wall of the groove; when withstanding external pressure, the inner circumference of the O-ring is in close contact with the inner wall of the groove.
2. When used for withstanding internal pressure in flat fixing, if the D dimension is less than 30 mm, please increase the D dimension by approximately 0.2–0.3 mm.
3. The groove dimensions are for reference only.
Precautions
When synthetic rubber comes into contact with different liquids, the following phenomena may occur depending on the type of liquid.
● Swelling after absorbing liquid (swelling)
● Bond breakdown due to chemical reaction (decomposition)
● Product becomes thinner after additives precipitate (extraction)
These adverse reactions in rubber often lead to poor sealing performance in sealing products. It is recommended to first confirm whether the material and the sealing medium will react when selecting materials for sealing products.
In addition, temperature and the type of additives will also affect the reaction results; even the same medium may react differently at different temperatures. When liquids are mixed, the effect on rubber is multiplied due to the combined effect.
