- It was developed as a dedicated pressure-resistant hose made of flexible PVC for vacuum transportation of food. Compliant with the Food Sanitation Act of Japan and with full consideration for safety, it has functionality that takes advantage of the features of the TOYOSPRING hose.

Cautions/prohibitions
Precautions Before and During Use of Hose
1. Usable fluids are water, drinking water / food, air, chemicals, and powders.
2. If the fluid remains in the hose, the resin odor may be transferred to the contents and may cause discomfort, so please check before use.
3. Do not use for fuel oil (heavy oil, light oil, kerosene, gasoline, etc.) or solvent. Also, some lubricant oils cannot be used. Please consult the manufacturer before use.
4. Use within the operating temperature and pressure ranges. Depending on the application and conditions (temperature and movement), it may not be possible to use the TOYOFOODS-S hose under negative pressure.
Please refer to the digital catalog as a guideline for the negative pressure range.
5. Depending on the usage conditions of the hose, compounding agents such as *2 plasticizers may be extracted or eluted, so please check the usage conditions and the effect
on the product before use.
6. The hose expands and contracts due to internal pressure, so please allow some leeway when piping.
7. When pressurizing, open and close the valve slowly * to avoid *1 impact pressure.
8. Use a hose ideal for the fluid to be used. Do not use it for any other purpose.
9. Wash the inside of the hose before using it for drinking water or food. (Wash with hot water (80°C or less) up to 30 minutes, pressure 0.1 MPa or less.)
10. Hose *3 Use with minimum bending radius or more. If used below the minimum bending radius, the hose may bend, or the pressure resistance may decrease.
11. When used with powders, granules, etc., the hose may wear out easily depending on the conditions, so please make the bend radius as large as possible.
12. Do not use the product in a state of extreme bending near the fitting.
13. Do not touch or bring close to naked flames.
14. Do not run over the hose with vehicles, etc.
15. Do not use the hose when it is crushed.
16. Do not hit the hose with hard, sharp objects such as steel or rub it strongly.
17. Do not energize. Hose rupture or electric shock may occur.
18. HYBRID TOYOFOODS hose has a twist-resistant structure. Pay attention to the mounting direction so that the device is not twisted by swinging or rotating.
19. Do not allow fluids (food, etc.) to come into contact with anything other than the inner surfaces of hoses and fittings. Fluid may permeate the hose reinforcement layer or remain in the fitting, causing the growth (adherence) of bacteria and deterioration of the hose. Also, dust adhering to the outer surface, fragments of hose (reinforcing material), and printing ink may get mixed in.
Precautions When Cutting Hose
1. When cutting a hose, use a new cutter blade as much as possible. (Reinforcing thread may protrude slightly from the surface)
2. When cutting the hose, cut so that the surface of the hose is perpendicular. If it is not vertical, leakage or disconnection, etc., may occur.
3. When cutting the HYBRID TOYOFOODS hose or TOYOFOODS-S hose, there is a risk of injury from the end of the reinforcing material, so please be careful.
Assembly Warnings
1. For TOYOFOODS hoses, HYBRID TOYOFOODS hoses, and TOYOFOODS-S hoses, the use of Toyox's dedicated fittings TOYOCONNECTOR is recommended.
If you use a fitting other than the dedicated one or install it in a way that is different from the instruction manual, the performance of the hose may deteriorate.
2. After installing the fitting, *4 permanent deformation of the resin may cause fluid leakage, fitting disconnection, or hose rupture. Please contact the manufacturer for fitting types and hose material characteristics.
3. Use a hose nipple ideal for the hose size. Also, do not use nipples with scratches or rust, etc., on the surface.
4. Never tighten with steel wire, etc.
5. The pressure resistance strength described in this catalog is based on the data obtained by performing a pressure test on a single hose using Toyox's original test method. Therefore, customers should be aware that problems such as hose disconnections and hose bursts may occur depending on the conditions (the shape of the hose nipple, the type of hose clamps, the number of hose clamps, tightening torque, crimping shape, etc.) for setting to the metal fittings. When attaching fittings to hoses, please select a safe and effective method of attaching fittings. If you have any technical questions about setting of fittings, etc., please contact the Toyox customer service center.
6. Retighten the hose clamp appropriately. There is a risk of fluid leakage or hose disconnection due to distortion of the resin at the clamp tightening part.
7. Do not use one-push metal brackets for tubes. It may cause the hose to burst.
8. When installing the HYBRID TOYOFOODS hose, if it is inserted while being twisted, the reinforcing material may protrude and there is a risk of injury, so please insert the hose straight into the fitting.
Notes on Testing
1. Pre-operation inspection: Before using the hose, check for any abnormality in the external appearance (damage, hardening, softening, discoloration, etc.).
2. Regular inspection: During the period of use of the hose, be sure to perform regular inspections once a month.
If such abnormalities are observed
Hose lifespan is greatly affected by fluid physical properties, temperature, flow velocity, and the frequency of pressurization and depressurization. If any of the following abnormalities or signs are found during the pre-operation inspection or regular inspection, immediately stop using the hose and replace it with a new hose.
1. Abnormalities near fittings: Local stretch, curvature, leakage, blistering, and shallow insertion into the nipple.
2. Presence or absence of damage: Large scratches on the outer surface, cracks, infiltration into the reinforcing layer
3. Internal abnormalities: Internal blistering and *5 Peeling/abrasion (Exposure of hose reinforcements)
(*) In the case of abnormalities on the inner or outer surface, the fluid may contain hose separations or fragments of reinforcement material.
4. If there are other significant changes (Hardening, *6 swelling, cracking, blistering, discoloration of reinforcing layer, etc.)
Notes on Storage
1. Do not store outdoors or in direct sunlight. This may cause quality deterioration such as stickiness and cracks on the hose surface.
Store in a well-ventilated place with low humidity. Do not allow contaminants or dust to enter the hose.
2. When storing, avoid contact with other PVC products and do not store near rubber products.
Notes on Disposal
1. Do not incinerate. Burning the product may damage the incinerator or produce gas harmful to the human body. Please handle it as industrial waste.
2. When disposing of the product, please follow the separate disposal procedures of each region.
