Usage Examples
Installation
- For roller arm type enclosed switches, the roller arm is temporarily tightened so that it can be set in any position. Please retighten it during installation to prevent loosening during operation.
- To adequately retain the sealing performance of the thread section for installation on the side of the switch, correctly insert the o-ring and tighten the nut.
- To improve sealing performance, we recommend using the SC connector. For details on the SC connector, please refer to the "limit switch connector."
Please arrange the piping so that contaminants and cutting debris do not enter the conduit opening.

About Proper Tightening Torque
Loose screws may cause early failure, so please tighten each screw to the proper tightening torque.
| No. | Type | Proper tightening torque |
|---|---|---|
| (1) | Cover Mounting Screw | 1.18 to 1.37 N⋅m |
| (2) | main body installation screw *1 | 1.18 to 1.37 N⋅m |
| (3) | Main body installation screw *2 | 4.90–5.88 N⋅m |
| (4) | Switch Terminal Screw (M4) | 0.78 to 1.18 N⋅m |
| (5) | Roller arm tightening nut | 4.90–5.88 N⋅m |
*1. This is the tightening torque for side installation and bottom surface installation types (M4 screw).
*2. This is the tightening torque for side diagonal installation type (M5 hex socket head cap screw).

About the Dedicated Wrench
(1) By loosening the nut, you can set the roller arm to any position at 225° as shown below.
(2) By loosening the nut, you can set the roller arm fixing bracket to any position within 360°.

- When loosening the nut, please be careful to prevent contaminants from entering.
- A dedicated wrench is available separately for setting to any desired position.
Cautions and Prohibitions
Operating Environment
- In outdoor environments or environments with special cutting oil, solvents, or chemicals, the seal part components may deteriorate. Be sure to evaluate under actual usage conditions and set the maintenance and replacement intervals accordingly.
- To maintain the performance of the machine's mechanical durability, when using in locations exposed to oil or water, make sure that grease does not run out in section (A). The use of molybdenum disulfide-based grease is recommended.

- Install the switch in a position where it is not directly exposed to machining chips or dust. The actuator and switch main body must also be protected from the accumulation of cutting chips and muddy material.

- If the switch is continuously subjected to vibration or shock, it may cause contact failures at the contact points due to the generation of wear particles, malfunctions, reduced durability, etc. Excessive vibration or impact may cause malfunction or damage to the contacts, so be sure to install the product in a position where it will not be subjected to vibration or impact, or in a direction that will not cause resonance.
- The switch has a contact point, and if silicon gas is present in the atmosphere, silicon oxide (SiO2) may be deposited on the contacts due to arc energy, causing a contact failure. If silicone products such as silicone oil, silicone filler, or silicone cables are present around the switch, suppress arcing with a contact protection circuit or remove the source of the silicon gas.
Operation
- The operation method, the shape of the cam or dog, frequency, and movement after operation all have a significant impact on durability and accuracy. Therefore, make sure the cam has a smooth shape.
- Allow a margin for the movement after operation (OT).
Set it to 70 to 100% of the OT standard value when using.
