Product Feature Details
Features of the ball valve
- One of the models with the lowest fluid resistance among valves.
- The fluoropolymer soft seat provides excellent sealing performance and easy operability (lubrication-free).
- The simple 90° opening/closing operation enables you to see the opened/closed state at a glance.
- Less galling due to self-wiping action.
Structure
- Floating type in which seats arranged in the direction of flow to an elaborately finished pole are tightened and held from both sides, and the sealing function by the fluid pressure itself works effectively.
- The stem part is built in from the inside with an out-proof structure that ensures prevention of popping out and a structure that maintains stable sealability.
Cautions and Prohibitions
Requests to All Users of the Ball Valves
Precautions for installation
1. Clean the valves and connecting pipes before piping. Contaminant such as dirt and dust may cause leakage.
2. It is recommended to install a strainer if contaminant is contained in the pipe or the fluid flowing through the pipe. It prevents troubles.
3. Make sure that sealing tape, etc., does not get inside the pipe when piping.
4. Do not loosen or remove the nut attached to the handle. This is important for sealing in the stem part.
5. Do not grip or turn the valve in a vise with a pipe wrench.
6. When installing the valve, use the hexagonal part of the valve near the side of the pipe to be installed, and tighten with an appropriate wrench.
7. When connecting pipes, be careful not to overtighten. After screwing in by hand, do not exceed 1.5 turns.
8. If torque control is possible, 1/4": 20, 3/8": 29, 1/2": 34, 3/4": 49, 1": 59, 1 and 1/4": 78, 1 and 1/2": 83, 2": 108 (unit: N⋅m). Please refer to these values. (Be careful not to overtighten when using fluoropolymer sealing tape, as the coefficient of friction is small, that is different from figures above.)
9. When piping, make sure that the valve is not subject to the strain, etc., of excessively loaded piping.

Usage Precautions
1. As a general rule, use the valve in the fully opened or fully closed position under the usage conditions.
2. Avoid forcibly opening and closing the handle.
3. In principle, do not remove the handle.
4. Brass ball valves may be easily corroded by ammonia, sulfurous acid gas, etc. Therefore, when using near toilets, piggeries, or farms, take sufficient measures to protect the valve with paint or anti-corrosion tape, etc.
5. Use stainless steel ball valves as much as possible in corrosive gas environments.
