How to use bit inserts SB/FB

Opponent hole set

Press-fit or hot press-fit

completion
Points to note when press-fitting
When press-fitting inserts, force is applied from above the mating insert, so make sure the outer diameter is thicker to prevent cracking. If thickening is not possible, cracking can be prevented by heat press-fitting.
To avoid damaging the insert, place a punch or plate against it and insert it by tapping it from above with a hammer or similar tool.
Precautions when hot press fitting
Apply a soldering iron or similar tool to the inner diameter of the insert and insert it while melting the resin.
Cautions/Prohibitions

The insert may come loose when tightening soft materials such as gaskets.

The insert will come loose if the object being tightened is larger than the outer diameter of the insert.

When the pilot hole in the mating material is too large.
- * In cases like the one shown in the diagram above, the insert will come out if you tighten the screw. If you are not tightening with excessive force, please consider using a flange type.
