Extra Low Speed Synchronous Motor, SMK Series

Caution
Product Description
Continuous rated synchronization motor capable of instant forward/reverse operation
[Features]
· Extra low-speed synchronous motors are continuous rated synchronization motors capable of instant forward/reverse operation.
· Has the same structure as a stepping motor, but because it can be easily driven with an alternating current power supply, it is also called an "AC stepping motor."
· Rotates precisely in sync with power supply frequency.
· Rotation speed does not change even if load fluctuates.
· Capacitor-run motor that can be easily run with just a capacitor (for the SMK5 type, external resistance is also required.
· Capable of continuous rated drive in both forward and reverse operation.
· Motor is capable of starting, stopping, and forward/reverse operation within 1.5 cycles of the power supply frequency (0.03 seconds if 50Hz, and 0.025 if 60Hz).
· Optimal for transport conveyors that start and stop repeatedly, etc.
· Rotates at a fixed speed even in lowering state.
· Also appropriate for elevator mechanisms and the like for which a drive with a consistent speed is desired for up/down motion
·
· Extra low-speed synchronous motors have the same structure as stepping motors and use a permanent magnet in their rotors, which gives them slight retention force even as-is.
· A relatively large retention force can be used by using a gearhead. Convenient for mounting green dampers for absorbing shock, slit panels for origin searching, etc.
