Spiral wound gasket with inner and outer rings (Black Tight) for JIS flat face pipe flanges

Caution
Product Description
Spiral wound gasket for JIS/JPI standards with excellent radiation resistance.
[Features]
· A type that uses Vulcafoil (expanded graphite) as the filler material and is equipped with inner and outer rings
- The outer ring of the gasket with inner and outer rings serves as a reference for reinforcement and for regulating the tightening amount of the gasket.
· With inner and outer rings, this is the most reliable option for high temperature and high pressure applications that can be installed on flat face flanges.
· Excellent airtightness greatly improves gas and vacuum seal performance.
· Outstanding tracking performance against thermal and pressure cycles reduces the need for retightening.
· Excellent radiation resistance
[Applications]
· Especially ideal for high-temperature, high-pressure steam and heating medium oils. Also ideal for extremely low temperature applications.

Product Specification
Features
- The spiral wound gasket uses inorganic paper tape, Vulcafoil (expanded graphite) tape, or Valflon (PTFE) tape as filler materials, and features excellent elasticity provided by the V-shaped preformed hoop.
- Ideal as a gasket for the joint surfaces of various equipment such as pipe flanges, heat exchangers, towers and tanks, and valve bonnets that handle high-temperature and high-pressure fluids in industries such as petroleum refining, chemical, electric power, gas, and marine.
Manufacturing Dimensions
For standard pipe flange
- For JIS pipe flange = 10K, 16K, 20K, 30K
- For JPI and ANSI pipe flange = Class 150, 300

Operating range
| Temperature (℃) | Pressure (MPa) |
|---|---|
| -270 to +450 | 30.0 |
- 1. Temperature and pressure each indicate their individual operating limits.
- 2. The above temperature range varies depending on the material of the hoop and the inner and outer rings.
Design Standard
| Gasket factor "m" | Minimum Design Seating Stress "y" (N/mm2) | Recommended Seating Surface Pressure (MPa) Fluid | Recommended Seating Surface Pressure (MPa) Gas |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3.0 | 68.9 | 30.0 | 50.0 |
The recommended seating surface pressure does not take fluid pressure into account; it is the surface pressure required under general conditions, based on the contact area of the gasket.
