Product Specification
Features
A deeper slot helps prevent the detected object from coming into contact with the base of the slot, creating greater tolerance in mechanical design.

It can be mounted with M3/M2 screws, so it can easily replace an existing sensor mounted with M2 screws.

The high-luminance light indicator can be seen from up to 4 directions, so it can be installed anywhere.

Since the position of the sensing window is indicated on the insertion slot, you can visually confirm if the detected object covers the sensing window, making it easy to check the insertion depth.

Cautions and Prohibitions
Cautions and Prohibitions
This product cannot be used for the purpose of detecting the human body, either directly or indirectly, to ensure safety.
Do not use this product as a detection device for human body protection.
Safety Precautions
Do not use the product beyond the voltage range indicated in the specifications. Applying a voltage exceeding the voltage range indicated in the specifications or using an AC power supply may cause rupture or burning.
About Incorrect Wiring
Do not make incorrect wiring such as reverse polarity of the power supply. It may cause rupture or burning.
About Load Short-Circuit
Do not short-circuit the load. (Do not connect to the power supply.) It may cause rupture or burning.

Precautions for use
Do not use in ambient conditions or environments that exceed the rating.
Operating Environment
- Do not install the sensor in the following places to prevent malfunction or failure.
(1) Places exposed to a lot of dust or oil mist
(2) Places exposed to a lot of corrosive gas
(3) Places exposed directly or indirectly to water, oil, or chemicals
(4) Outdoors or places exposed to strong light such as sunlight - Please make sure to use the sensor under the ambient temperature within the rated range.
- If the sensor is exposed to organic solvents, acids, alkalis, aromatic hydrocarbons, or chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons, it may be dissolved. Also, these chemicals may cause deterioration of the sensor's characteristics, so do not expose the sensor to these chemicals.
· Installation
Installation- The EE-SX95 series adopts a non-modulated light lighting system on the premise that it will be built into equipment. For this reason, when using the product in a location subject to external light interference, such as near a window or under an incandescent lamp, install it so as to avoid the effects of external light interference.
- Be sure to mount the sensor on a flat surface securely.
- Please use M3 or M2.0 screws to secure the photomicrosensor. (M3 screws with a larger screw tightening force are recommended. To prevent the screw from loosening, please use flat washers and spring lock washers.) Refer to the table below for the tightening torque.
| Thread Diameter | Tightening torque |
|---|---|
| M2.0 screw | 0.15 N⋅m or less |
| M3 Screw | 0.54 N⋅m or less |
- When using the sensor on a movable part, fix the cable drawer part so that direct stress is not applied to it.
· Wiring
About Unused output lines- Be sure to insulate unused output lines.
About Connecting to devices with voltage input specifications
- This open collector output sensor can be connected to a counter with a voltage input specification by connecting a resistor between the power supply source and the output. Please select the resistance value referring to the example below.
A resistance value of 4.7 kΩ is generally used. The appropriate wattage of the resistor is 1/2 W for a power supply voltage of 24 V and 1/4 W for 12 V.

[Example]EE-SX95 series
When connecting a load resistance of R = 4.7 kΩ in a counter
= Counter specifications =
| Input impedance | 5.6 kΩ |
|---|---|
| Voltage judged as H level (input ON) | 4.5 to 30 V DC |
| Voltage judged as L level (input OFF) | 0 to 2 V DC |
The "H" and "L" levels are calculated using the formulas below, and the specifications of the above input device must satisfy both formulas to be judged as "no problem."

at 'H' level

at 'L' level
*: Please check the sensor rating for the residual voltage against the load current.
About Load short-circuit protection
- This model is equipped with a load short-circuit protection function.
If such as a load short circuit occurs, the output will be turned OFF, so check the wiring and then turn on the power supply again. The load short-circuit protection circuit will be reset. Also, the load short-circuit protection operates when a current exceeding the rated load current.
When using a C load, make sure that the inrush current will not exceed the rated load current.
Others
- Do not wire the cables when the power supply is on. It may cause damage.
- Please make sure the total length of the power cable connected to this product should be less than 10 m.
· Other Precautions
- Depending on the power supply environment, etc., an output pulse may occur when the power supply is turned on.
When using the sensor, make sure it is in a stably detectable state 100 ms after the power supply is turned on. - Dispose this product as industrial waste.
