Effective Gripping Force
Expressing the effective gripping force
The effective gripping force shown in the graphs below is expressed as F, which is the thrust of one finger when both fingers and attachments are in full contact with the workpiece as shown in the figure below.

Precautions
Mounting
- *1Tighten the screw within the specified torque range when mounting the air chuck.
Tightening with a torque above the limit can cause malfunction, while insufficient tightening can cause slippage and dropping. - *2Do not scratch or dent the air chuck by dropping or bumping it when mounting.
Even slight deformation can cause the deterioration of accuracy and operation failure. - *3Tighten the screw within the specified torque range when mounting the attachment.
Tightening with a torque above the limit can cause malfunction, while insufficient tightening can cause slippage and dropping.
Other precautions
- *Note the risk of corrosion on the finger. Except for certain models, the finger uses martensitic stainless steel, whose corrosion resistance is inferior to austenitic stainless steel. In particular, rust may occur in environments where water droplets adhere to the unit due to condensation.
- *See the manufacturer's catalog for product information other than the above.
