- When drilling fine holes, especially ø1.0 (diameter 1.0 mm) or less, first create a guide hole (center hole) prior to drilling. This prevents breakage or chipping when the drill bit bites in.
- Reduce the drill bit runout when chucking to 0.003 mm or less.
- If the maximum number of rotations of the machinery used does not reach the above cutting conditions, use at the highest speed possible while still maintaining stability. In this case, the feed rate should also be decreased proportionally.
- If using with a ø0.5 (diameter 0.5 mm) drill or smaller, prioritize a number of rotations which permits the most stable spindle accuracy over the above cutting conditions.
