Screwdrivers (explosion-proof) are screwdrivers that do not generate sparks even when subjected to friction or shock and can be used even in places where fire is strictly prohibited. It is used in chemical plants, oil and gas industry-related facilities, and flour mills, in order to prevent sparks generated by the use of a screwdriver, which could pose a danger during work. Nickel-aluminum steel alloy and aluminum bronze are common materials, but beryllium steel alloy, which has higher explosion-proof properties, may be used. Since the screwdriver (explosion-proof) features excellent non-magnetic characteristics, it can also be used in places with strong magnetic fields or where it is necessary to avoid the effects of magnetic forces. In addition, because it has high corrosion resistance, it is resistant to rust even after long-term use and has strength comparable to ordinary steel tools that are not explosion-proof.
